Keeping up with the Jones's

I really have decided I need to step up my game if I want to stay in education.  The students today are so technologically savvy and I am going to need to continually try to stay up to date with the latest technology and even more importantly I am going to need to integrate them into my teaching in order to effectively connect to these students.  I have really had a lot of fun creating this Blog.  Do not get me wrong I have wanted to pull my hair out a time or two but I think I was able to navigate the basics fairly well.  The purpose of a Blog is to communicate and in nursing what a great arena to disseminate research, evidence and practice ideas/tips.  The downfall is that you have to be careful about the information you read and understand that not everything is evidenced-based or even correct for that matter.  But Blogging is an important form of networking especially social and can also be used to focus on specific ideas or specific subjects.  Successful Blogs in health care appear to be ones that facilitate dialogue, are progressive and attract a large following.  I have included so me links below to a couple of interesting nursing health care Blogs and sites.  I hope you enjoy!
